ONE of the New England’s longest-settled and longest-held grazing properties, “Balala” at Uralla,

Now a property of 1251 hectares (3092 acres), “Balala” was first taken up as a grazing lease in the 1840s by partners, George Morse and Thomas Tourle, at which time it encompassed a little less than 40,000ha (100,000ac). On this photo shoot i wanted some Black and white photographs to use in a book i am putting together.
